Nursery Tour - Sweet Playroom

With the new baby due in March, Mia will be ready to move into a big girl bed after Christmas so I'm thinking of making the other half of her room a playroom...I found this gorgeous playroom at Project Gallery which won the Project Gallery for October. I love the colour scheme with the bright colours and geometric patterns in the cushions and using the same fabric to back the book shelves.

Small Office Spaces

With baby number 2 on the way I have to clear out my spare room which I was using for office space/storage and come up with a spot in my living/dinging room for a small desk for my laptop with a little storage space. House Tour - Old Meets New

This old house designed by Space Architecture and Planning in Chicago, Illinois has so much character. From the front the old exterior was reconditioned and restored to it's former glory.

From the back a new modern extension, allows the family of 6 to have larger living space with a new family room, a new kitchen with breakfast nook and a mud room.

This three story house was redesigned and modernised. The first floor is for contemporary living with the dining, living and kitchen area leading off to a large deck. The second floor is the master bedroom and bathroom, a guest suite, a home office and a deck over looking the back yard.The third floor is taken over by their four children with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The backyard has a half basketball/sports court and a four car garage.

A Spanish House Tour

This house tour takes place in the town of Cadaques on Costa Brava in Spain. Interior design is by Spanish interior designer Marta Esteve. The first thing that caught our eye is the amazing views and surroundings of the house and how it has been incorporated into the interior design. The indoors blend seamlessly with the outdoors thanks to the amazing large windows framing the view and the neutral colour palette with hits of blue that mirror the colours of the sea beyond.

The use of typography throughout the house is a modern way to decorate. You can also make it personal by using letters of family members names or your favourite places.

We love the clock in the kitchen it is very simply yet quirky which makes a great feature to the room. The modern chairs with the mismatched hardwood table is definatley one of our favourites also... (in any home)

I'd love to decorate this tree on the porch at christmas time! Even though this porch is closed off to the outside scenery this tree brings colour and a nature feel back into the room.

The Real UP House!

While searching for design inspiration I came across this house. How cute is it! This is an exact replica of the house from Disney's animation movie UP, built by Bengerter Homes in Herriman, Utah. The house is up for sale for $400,000 compared to the going price of $270,000 in the area...this house is fun but I don't know if I would be willing to pay that much more for the area! I love the letterbox though!

Boy's Room Inspiration

Since having my daughter 16 months ago, I have been in pink overload. It has been so easy to find inspiration for decorating a little girls room, everything is so cute & pretty. So I thought it would be harder to find the same level of inspiration for a boys room. That was until I came across these rooms...no pink in sight!

House Tour - Young House Love

One of our favourite blogs to follow is Young House Love. In case you haven't heard of them they are a couple of 29 year olds who are now onto their second house sharing their DIY adventures updating their 49 year old house, raising their almost 1 year old daughter & a tiny chihuahua named Burger.
